Firetide Mesh Radios

The Firetide HotPort High Performance Mesh Network provides a high capacity, self-healing broadband wireless network that operates seamlessly indoors and outdoors, making the system ideal for many campus and metropolitan area networking applications. Designed for maximum performance, scalability and ease of use, the mesh delivers a throughput of up to 25 Mbps -- ideal for voice, video and data applications. Each HotPort mesh node can operate at 2.4 GHz for maximum range and penetration, or at 5 GHz to minimize interference with wireless LANs. A special HotPort Public Safety High Performance Mesh Network is available for use in the U.S.-licensed 4.9 GHz spectrum.

The HotPort mesh consists of HotPort 3100 Series Indoor Wireless Mesh Nodes and/or HotPort 3200 Series Outdoor Wireless Mesh Nodes, each with multiple auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports for connectivity to Ethernet devices, such as access points or digital video surveillance cameras, as well as for LAN/MAN/WAN internetworking. The AutoMeshTM protocol makes the mesh fully self-forming and self-healing, with both load-balancing and automatic failover capabilities, to afford rapid deployment and dependable operation. The MultiMeshTM capability enables an authorized administrator to manage multiple mesh networks from a single screen. These networks can be independent, or integrated with MeshBridgeTM to form a single mesh environment with up to 1000 nodes.

Mesh Management Software
HotViewTM and HotView ProTM Mesh Management Software provide real-time monitoring and management of a Firetide HotPort High Performance Mesh Network via an intuitive graphical user interface. HotView is intended for single mesh environments, including deployments in pilot, temporary or portable networks. HotView Pro adds support for advanced features, such as MultiMesh for simplifying monitoring and management in a multiple mesh environment.

HotPort™ 3101 Indoor

HotPort 3101 Indoor Wireless Mesh Node is part of Firetide's industry-leading HotPort High Performance Mesh Network that provides broadband wireless video, voice and data communications indoors and outdoors in campuses or entire metropolitan areas. The HotPort indoor nodes can be mounted on or walls and ceilings or hung from cubicle walls, and they are UL2043 plenum-rated, making them suitable for placement in a plenum air space. Each indoor unit has a built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch. All HotPort nodes feature a dual spectrum radio for operation at 2.4 GHz for maximum range or at 5 GHz for minimum interference with wireless LANs.

The HotPort 3101 model provides up to 10 Mbps throughput and includes support for the full HotView feature set. Seamless operation with HotPort 3200 Series Outdoor Wireless Mesh Nodes extends the mesh between or among buildings and, potentially, onto moving vehicles.

HotPort™ 3103 Indoor

HotPort™ 3203 outdoor

HotPortTM 3200 series outdoor mesh nodes have weatherproof IP67/NEMA 4X enclosures and connect wirelessly to indoor and outdoor HotPort nodes to form a high performance wireless mesh network for video, voice and data. Outdoor nodes feature a dual spectrum radio; optional spectrum-specific, high gain omni-directional antennas; and a built-in dual port 10/100 Ethernet switch that supports 802.3af Power over Ethernet. They can operate at 2.4 GHz for maximum capacity and range, or at 5 GHz for maximum capacity and minimal interference from 2.4 GHz devices. A removable sunshield and a flexible mounting kit are provided with each mode. HotPort 3100 indoor mesh nodes and HotPort 3203 outdoor mesh nodes are fully interoperable with each other.

 

HotPort™ 3100/PS

HotPortTM 3100/PS Series Indoor Wireless Mesh Nodes are part of Firetide's industry-leading HotPort/PS High Performance Mesh Network that provides broadband wireless communications in the U.S.-licensed 4.9 GHz spectrum for public safety (PS) applications. These plenum-rated HotPort 3100/PS nodes have a built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch for connecting standard equipment, including mobile data terminals, digital video cameras, GPS receivers and most other on-board multimedia communications systems.

HotPort 3100/PS Series Indoor Wireless Mesh Nodes are normally installed in vehicles, in trunks or under seats, or in mobile command centers to provide ad hoc wireless communications at an incident area where the only form of communications available may well be the mobile mesh that accompanies first responders to the scene. The AutoMeshTM protocol makes the network fully self-forming and self-healing to afford rapid, automatic deployment and mission-critical, dependable operation. Seamless integration with HotPort 3200/PS Outdoor Wireless Mesh Nodes deployed in a jurisdictional overlay network provides backhaul communications with centralized command and control facilities.

HotPortTM 3200/PS Outdoor Wireless Mesh Nodes are part of Firetide's industry-leading HotPort/PS High Performance Mesh Network that provides broadband wireless communications in the U.S.-licensed 4.9 GHz spectrum for public safety (PS) applications. The ruggedized HotPort 3200/PS Outdoor Wireless Mesh Node offers two weatherized Ethernet ports for connecting standard equipment or devices, including digital video surveillance cameras and access points, or for internetworking with other LANs, MANs or WANs.

HotPort 3200/PS Outdoor Wireless Mesh Nodes are normally deployed on rooftops, towers or poles to create a jurisdictional network that provides constant wireless communications for both intra-agency and interoperable multi-agency needs, including incident response and mutual aid. Seamless operation with HotPort 3100/PS Series Indoor Wireless Mesh Nodes extends the mesh within buildings and onto moving vehicles.
